Wear of wearing parts is lighter, the general wrong concept is that single screw wear is less, in fact, due to the stable material conveying and material flow characteristics of the double screw extrusion process, determines that the screw and cylinder liner wear is less than the single screw, although the number of screws is more, but the cost of parts is still lower than the single screw.
12. Low production cost. Due to the good operation stability of the twin screw model, the starting material in the feed processing is less, the water and gas waste is less, the working time is less, the heat transfer efficiency is high, the finished product rate is high, the power output index is high, the accessories cost is low, and the final production cost is much lower than that of the single screw.

Conclusion:

The twin-screw extruder has the advantages of economical price, high stability, large output and convenient cleaning. But it is not suitable for some foods that require high extrusion pressure. The single screw extruder is more suitable for some foods that require high extrusion pressure.
