Composition of food extrusion equipment
Food extrusion equipment in addition to the extruder – host, but also have auxiliary machinery and control system
Main engine
A food extruder (host) is mainly composed of 4 systems, and a simple extruder has no fourth part
1 Extrusion system. This system is mainly composed of screw, barrel and frame, is the core part of the main engine.
2 Transmission system. This system is used to drive the screw rotation, it is mainly composed of motor, reducer and gear box, to ensure the torque and speed required by the screw.
3 die head system. The system is used to ensure the shape of the extrusion food and the pressure before the establishment of the die head, which is mainly composed of a die base, a diverter plate and a forming die head that can be connected with the barrel.
4 Heating (cooling) system. The system transmits heat to the material by heating the cylinder with steam inside the sandwich cylinder, or by cooling the cylinder with circulating water. The cylinder is also heated by an electric heating element. The screw is made hollow and can also be used for heating or cooling.
Second, auxiliary machinery
In the process of extrusion food production, in addition to the host, according to the different production products and raw materials used, but also need to have different, supporting auxiliary machines to produce the required products, these auxiliary machines are:
(1) Raw material mixer. This mixer is generally used in a variety of food raw materials need to be evenly mixed under the occasion.
(2) Pretreatment device. Before the raw material enters the feeder, the water content and temperature of the raw material can be adjusted by using water or steam in the pretreatment unit according to the process requirements.
(3) Feeder. The feeder is used to ensure uniform feeding to the extruder.
(4) Cutting device. Extruded food is continuously extruded through the die under normal working conditions, and then cut off with a cutter in the cutting device according to the shape of the product.
(5) drying (cooling) device. Some of the products after being cut and formed need to be further dehydrated and then enter the dryer; Some need to be cooled quickly before entering the cooling unit. Generally used is electric heating oven, air cooling.
(6) Seasoning device. There are many extruded foods, especially some puffed foods, which need to have a variety of flavors, so the seasoning needs to be sprayed on the surface of the product, and this device is to complete this task.
(7) Other auxiliary machines include product packaging machines.
Control system
The control system of the food extruder is mainly composed of measuring instruments, display instruments, electrical appliances, actuators and buttons, etc., which are used to complete the following tasks:
(1) Display the working state of the extruder, such as display speed, temperature, pressure, etc.
(2) Start according to the program, control the speed of the main engine and auxiliary machinery and coordinate their operation.
(3) Control the feeding amount, temperature and pressure according to the process requirements.
(4) Automatic control and management of the entire production line can be achieved by computer control.
